i have to admit Meredith is one of my absolute fav chars in DA2 and i really dont know why so many people seem to hate her... (ok except for the very end, that kinda sucked ._. )
i actually always side with the templars because of her xD

Ooh, I really agree. Meredith has to be my favorite NPC in Dragon Age II, if not in all of the games. Is it wrong that I kind of wish she was a romance option?

Such an amazing Meredith work of art! I absolutely love it, Meredith is my favorite NPC in Dragon Age 2 and I completely understand her harsh attitude towards mages. It must have been very hard for her to get over the death of her parents murdered by her only sister who turned into an abomination for giving in to the demon's temptation...I really admire Meredith and the fact that in the end she became rather crazy deeply affected my attitude towards the mage's plight I actually understood one of the many reasons why they are so dangerous and must be kept under watch. When you try so hard to protect someone from something you fear and do not understand only to become something even more dangerous than that certain thing is truly sad! I felt so sorry for her when during the battle she started having doubts , asking herself weather she is actually doing the right thing. Thank you again for sharing this with us

I think she was too over the top if you were trying to balance her as a serious ally. Although when I did side with her, it was interesting to know The First Enchanter was covering up for the blood mage that murders your mom. Maybe it would have seemed fairer if that was something hinted at sooner.

If you know the whys behind Meredith's ways, rather like Loghain, she becomes understandable in her crazy. Like Loghain she was always doing what she thought was right to protect people. The tragedy is in that she thought she did not see she was hurting everyone with that drive to defend them.
